Removal Proceedings in Colorado

The judicial atmosphere regarding parent relocation has changed over the last few years. Colorado  courts were formerly adverse to removing children from the jurisdiction, under the presumption that it was harmful to the child and the non-custodial parent. After recent rulings, however, judges are more neutral on the issue and take a case-by-case approach.
